Kawasaki has advanced the world premiere of the KLE 500 by approx 10 days as earlier it was supposed to debut at the EICMA 2025 on Nov 4
We earlier told you that the Kawasaki KLE 500 adventure bike will break cover at the EICMA 2025 on Nov 4 in Milan, Italy. However, it appears that the Japanese two-wheeler brand has changed this plan and in fact fast forwarded the global premiere to Oct 24, 2025. As per the latest teaser video released by the company, Kawasaki KLE 500 adventure motorcycle is just a couple of days away from its highly-anticipated debut. It is not officially confirmed, but we are confident that the KLE 500 will also go on sale in the Indian market in 2026.
The ‘KLE’ nameplate is not entirely new as auto aficionados would fondly remember that Kawasaki used to sell the KLE in the 90s. Needless to mention, the upcoming KLE 500 adventure bike will use the same 451cc parallel-twin as the Eliminator 500 and Ninja 500 with power output of 45 bhp and 46.2 Nm while paired to a 6-speed transmission.
The teaser video shows the silhouette of the KLE 500 which flaunts a rugged off-road oriented stance. It is safe to assume that a 21-inch front wheel will be offered as standard. With the introduction of the KLE 500, Kawasaki will once again make its presence felt in the middleweight adventure segment of motorcycles, from where it was missing for nearly two decades.

Though Kawasaki retails the KLR650 dual-sport motorcycle in a few markets including the United States and Australia, it is not available in the Indian market. Instead, the company retails smaller displacement adventure bikes in India in the form of KLX230, KLX450R, and KLX230RS. The KLE 500 will be up against the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, TVS 450 Adventure and BMW F 450 GS.
The teaser video also reveals a spoked wheel shod with off-road biased tyre and a single disc brake. The caption in the YouTube video reads, ““Life’s a rally,” and “KLE.” The Japanese company had originally teased the upcoming KLE500 adventure bike at the EICMA 2024 and as we can see, it has taken almost an year to finally unveil the ADV motorcycle.

Kawasaki KLE 500 is apparently benchmarked against Yamaha Tenere 700, which is considered one of the most capable off-road centric adventure motorcycles in the whole world. The KLE 500 price in India will depend on the route that Kawasaki takes, i.e. if the brand intends to bring it as CKD import, identical to the Ninja 500, the final pricing could be somewhere in the ballpark of Rs 5.66 lakh (ex-showroom). However, if it is manufactured in India with heavy localization close to 95 percent, akin to the KLX 230, then the final ex-showroom price will make it one of the most sought after and value for money adventure bikes in the country.
